GISt™

Graphical Instructor Station

GISt™ is Frasca's computer based instructor station that uses a Graphical User Interface (GUI) to control the simulator. Instead of a keyboard and text based menus, the instructor uses a mouse to point and click at graphical icons. Items are presented in an intuitive manner. For example, to control the engine functions, the instructor selects the icon that looks like an aircraft engine.

GISt™ includes a core group of functions that replace the original menus terminal, the plotter, and the hardware control panel. Additional functions or modules are available as options and provide advanced features (see list below). GISt™ is available on all Frasca simulators including the Mentor™ and TruFlite™ as well as custom configurations. GISt™ is also available as an upgrade for older simulators.
